Dalam rangka memperingati 200 tahun jalan raya Daendels atau lebih dikenal dengan nama jalan raya pos yng membentang dari Anyer (Propinsi Banten) hingga Panaruka (Propinsi Jawa Timur). PT Pos merilis perangko baru seri 200 tahun jalan raya pos yang diterbitakan 27 Sept 2008 lalu. Detail ada di:

Bulan ini KDDI meluncurkan layanan broadband rumahan (end users) FTTH (fiber to home) 1 Gbps. Sebelumnya standard layanan FTTH itu adalah 100 Mbps.

Allow VM object creation in ufs_lookup. (If vfs.vmiodirenable is set)
Directory IO without a VM object will store data in 'malloced' buffers
severely limiting caching of the data. Without this change VM objects for
directories are only created on an open() of the directory.
TODO: Inline test if VM object already exists to avoid locking/function call
overhead.

Zero copy bpf sudah tersedia untuk FreeBSD-8.0-CURRENT.
hal ini mempermudah menangkap packet pada link kecepatan 10 Gbps :-)
*katanya menangkap packet pada link kecepatan 1,25 Gbps itu sendiri sudah lebih cepat daripada kecepatan hardrive yang ada sekarang*
